    These data are outdated. Duke is a biglaw powerhouse, putting 146 out of 251 2021 grads into biglaw jobs. So the median salary of all students in $215,000. ~80% of Duke grads are BigLaw or FC, so a biglaw job is almost guaranteed.

    It will take a minute for firms (and Judges) to realize that Duke has upped its curve so for a while Duke Law students who are median will be perceived as roughly top 3rd. Folks who are bottom of the curve look less like the bottom of the class etc. For your average student this will just improve firm placement.

    Hey all. I see Duke is #1 on Above the Law for outcomes and has a stellar big law/federal clerkship rate. Berkeley’s rate is a tad lower (not significantly though) and it’s lower on Above the Law ranking wise. There isn’t a real difference between the two regarding big law outcomes, right? Just more Berkeley students are PI focused, perhaps?
