Guests. Posted August 4, 2011. Been looking for a smaller pistol for my wife to carry. We have looked at the Hellcat 380 and the Ruger LCP 380. I have a Bersa Thunder 380 that I carry and my wife likes it but likes the size and feel of the smaller pistol better. I have read reviews on both of these guns and they are well praised.

I have a North American Arms .32acp that i bought earlier this year for a 'carry when i can't carry' gun and it's perfect for that. It's also suprisingly accurate (for a pocket auto) and seems to be a real quality piece for the cost and size. However, now that the price of LCP's has finally dropped to near their actual MSRP, i'm kind of back to ...
When they offered to replace the stock laser with a Crimson Trace, I opted to do that, but the problem persisted, LOL. I ended up selling it and getting a non-laser Ruger LCP Max, which I now sometimes carry as a backup or to places I don’t feel like I can get away with my bigger gun. But the BG-380 itself seemed like a good gun.
Ruger lcp 380 with one mag. It has a pocket clip as well as a laser. It is in good shape. I'm looking to trade for other guns. No blackpowder or archery. I also have cash or a Marlin 22 rife I can add for the right trade. I'm located in Lancing TN but will be in West Knoxville tomorrow (Wednesday).
Whatever works for you is the best. I tell ya one thing , the Ruger LCP .380 makes it so easy to run to the parts store , grocery store , or dollar store. It fits right in the front pocket with a DeSantis pocket holster. I've been doing this for over 8 years. It's so much easier than belting-up an holstering-up a bigger gun.
I have an old school LCP, the "Custom" model with the taller sights and the red anodized trigger and also the LCP Max. I love the idea of the Max, wish it had the DA trigger of the original. I carry both in pocket holsters, an old suede one for the LCP, a fairly new Sticky holster for the Max.

Most handguns suck at being manstoppers, but .380s are especially lousy. Unless you are 5’3/112 lbs, you can hide the 43 just about anywhere you can hide a .380.
