No point in Armslist or Vaguntrader anymore since the commies with a couple RPV faggots passed UBC's in Va. Pricing, even during salad days, was close to or at new. Only reason to do it then was no 4473 or if it was something old not made anymore. Armslist changed a year or so ago their search function and made it complete shit.
Scammers aren't really the problem on Armslist. Yeah, there are scammers. But Armslist is intended for local, face to face transactions. Kinda hard to get scammed face to face. My biggest complaint about Armslist is the flakes (someone who says, "I'll take it."
Armslist is meant to be used for local, face-to-face transactions only. Scamming is much more difficult with FTF transactions. The problem is people who use Armslist in a way it wasn't intended to be used - long distance transactions. They don't follow the Armslist rules, then cry and blame Armslist when they end up getting scammed.
512 posts · Joined 2017. #8 · Nov 3, 2020. So quick update, I did actually list my gun and pay their fee. On the payment page it just says you are paying for one month, so if it’s auto-renewed, I’ll be surprised. I had to sell the gun—there was a different gun I wanted more and I needed the money for it.
Armslist used to be great, but it lost a lot of traffic when it became a pay site. Not nearly as many people use it now, and it has become pretty lame. I too would like to find something that could replace Armslist for local, face to face transactions. But as lame as Armslist is, there just isn't anything that's any better.
TNVC/NG/PVS-14-GP – U.S. Gen3 Filmed Green Phosphor are back in stock at $2599! [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Made a huge mistake signing up for an Armslist Paid Account. Don't do it. I wanted to get rid of a few things and figure $6.99 for a month isn't a bad deal. Here is the ordeal to this point.
Gunbroker is so much better than Armslist. Lots of people would pay a small fee to list, but NO ONE will pay to buy or ask questions. So the pool of buyers will dry up to almost nothing, and consequently, the people willing to pay to sell won't be because there won't be any real buyers.
Quoted: They all have their merits depending on the type and price of equipment you intend to sell or purchase. If you want to sell a $300 shotgun, Armslist beats having to ship and incur Gunbroker fees. Buying on Armslist allows you to purchase face to face and avoid dealer fees. Selling an H&K sp89, Gunbroker probably finds you the right buyer.
Explain how. I have used Armslist a couple times. The deal was only finalized f2f, with one other person, after some phone calls or texts, which the site wasn't a part of. Neither the buyer nor seller provided any details to the site, or even that a deal was done. How does the site register anything from that?
