  2. Talon Grips vs Hogue - Glock Talk

If you are looking for more girth, then I think that the Hogue grips would be better versus the Talon's. I recently put a pair of Hogue handall grips which has a beavertail, grips. on my G27. Oh my God, they were almost impossible to install, Windex and all. I haven't been to the range yet to test them out, but so far they feel good in the hand.

One is Hogue Big Butt, the other is Nill Grip. What I like about the Nill is that the shelf at the bottom provides a good place for the support hand pinkie where it sits flat against it and helps with the recoil control (whatever small recoil there is). It has finger grooves that happen to fit me so

Went to another Hogue Grip with one finger groove and it did OK. Was not as big, more nimble, but still had problems getting a consistent grip from the draw. Long story short, out comes the bench mounted belt sander and off goes a bunch of wood, including the finger groove.

  5. Who has put a Hogue (or similar thicker) grip onto a G48/G43X?

The Hogue grips fill out my hands and the rubber gives me a good grip without making the gun feel bulkier in the waist line. Really locks the gun in my grip and doesn't move during recoil at all. That said, some may not like the finger groves that the Hogue grip reintroduces.

  6. Hogue Grips: G10 vs. Aluminum - Glock Talk

    www.glocktalk.com/threads/hogue-grips-g10-vs-aluminum.1523845

I have both materials on different guns. My friend invented and produces Alumagrips, and they are the best of all metal grips. But I don't know if he makes them for your gun. I have sets over ten years old without a scratch on them after regular carry. I also have Davidson's on a couple of my guns which I really like for their aggressive pattern.

  7. S&W 686 Conversion Grips - Revolver Forum - Brian Enos's Forums

Recently I bought the Extreme Hogue G10 conversion grip. I really wanted to like the Extreme Hogue. I really did. But it just didn't fit my hand right. Maybe it's the finger grooves? I don't know, but I finally took it off and put the rubber grips back on. And I'm happy. I guess I wanted a unique look for my gun with a fancy grip. Now, all I ...

  8. Big butt grips - why? - Page 2 - Brian Enos's Forums

How do the Hogue Big Butts (smooth, no finger grooves) compare in size, shape and feel to the Bang Miculek grips? Tried many grips and settled with the Bang grips as they have worked the best for me, but wouldn't mind having the same/similar feel with a big butt on the end. Appreciate any feedback. Dave

Potential jokes aside, the finger grooves on most Hogue grips can be a source of real irritation if your hands don't match them exactly. I've replaced the Hogue mono-grips on both my S&W686 and Ruger GP-100 to eliminate the finger grooves.

  10. How do you go about fitting your grips? - Brian Enos's Forums

    forums.brianenos.com/topic/198869-how-do-you-go-about-fitting-your-grips

The rubber on the Hogue grips can be shaped down with a Dremel sanding drum. They have a hard plastic core that you will hit if you go to far. I like using the Miculek wood grips because they are longer providing more surface area to grab and carve. I use Bondo to add to the wood grips that can't be done with the rubber ones.

I have Hogue grips on 4 of my Glocks, 19.3, 19.5, 43 and 26.5. I can IWB carry all w/ no issue. Depending on what I'm wearing I sometimes pocket carry the 43, no issue with the grip grabbing clothing. I read a lot where people have a heck of a time installing the grips I didn't.
