The sentier de Grande Randonnée 8, or GR 8 for short, is a long distance hiking trail on the French Atlantic coast. It is part of the Grande Randonnée network and runs from Saint-Brevin-les-Pins (Loire-Atlantique, France) on the south of the Loire estuary, opposite the large port city of Saint-Nazaire and currently terminates at Sare in the Atlantic Pyrenees.
The network is maintained in France by the Fédération Française de la Randonnée Pédestre (French Hiking Federation), [1] and in Spain by the Federación Española de Deportes de Montaña y Escalada (Spanish Mountain Sports Federation). [2] Many GR routes make up part of the longer European walking routes which cross several countries.

The GR 70, also known as the Chemin de Stevenson or the Robert Louis Stevenson Trail, is a Grande Randonnée (long-distance footpath) that runs for approximately 225 kilometres (140 mi) through the French departments of Haute-Loire, Lozère and Gard [2] in a generally north–south direction from Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille to Saint-Jean-du-Gard.
