Atishi (aged 43) is the also the youngest incumbent chief minister, while Kerala's Pinarayi Vijayan (aged 79) is the oldest. Nitish Kumar of Bihar has served for the most terms (nine). [ a ] [ 2 ] Fourteen incumbents belong to the Bharatiya Janata Party , three to the Indian National Congress , and two to the Aam Aadmi Party .

The 12th Council of Ministers of National Capital Territory of Delhi was formed on 21 September 2024, with Chief Minister Atishi Marlena leading the government. The ministry also consisted of 6 Aam Aadmi Party MLAs of the Delhi Assembly, who were sworn in by Lieutenant Governor V. K. Saxena .
