RWE Supply & Trading CZ is the largest natural gas trading company in the Czech Republic. It is owned by the German energy company RWE. The group used to own pipelines from Lanžhot on Czech-Slovak border to Germany. Its market position deteriorated in 1997 when the competing Yamal-Europe pipeline was put into operation.
Since 21 July 2006, RWE has spent €40 million building a fluidized bed drying unit with waste heat technology as a pilot project for the drying process of the raw brown coal. In addition, the free waste heat of the power station is used. The older units at the plant are being decommissioned starting in the early 2010s.

The Amercentrale is a biomass-fired power plant of RWE in the municipality Geertruidenberg. The plant is named after the Amer River and is located on the left bank of this river. In 1952 Unit 1 of the first Amercentrale began generating electricity. The much smaller Dongecentrale, decommissioned in 2011, is located near the Amercentrale.
