Goyang Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Goyang, South Korea used mostly for football matches and was the home ground of Goyang Zaicro FC of the K League Challenge from 2013–16. The seating capacity is 41,311 and construction was completed in 2003. It is occasionally used for matches of the South Korea national football team.
Ilsan, a planned city, is located in the Ilsandong District and Ilsanseo Districts of Goyang. It also includes Deogyang District which is closer to Seoul. Several institutions of higher learning are located in Goyang. These include Agricultural Cooperative College, Korea Aerospace University, and Transnational Law and Business University.

Ilsan New Town (Korean: 일산신도시) refers to a planned city occupying Ilsandong District and Ilsanseo District of Goyang. Ilsan is located northwest of Seoul . Like other satellite cities in the Seoul National Capital Area such as Bundang , Ilsan was planned in order to alleviate housing shortages in the city of Seoul.

The former Ilsan Station Building, Registered Cultural Heritage No.294. The old Ilsan Station was built in 1933, while under Japanese rule. While no longer in use, the building still exists and was designated as a national cultural asset No. 294 in 2006. In 2009 the functions of the station were transferred to a new station building.
