The South Shore Trail is a 11.2-mile (18.0 km) long, planned shared-use rail trail that will run from Annapolis to Odenton in Maryland, United States. Two segments, totaling 2.96-mile (4.76 km) have been built. The Trail primarily utilizes the abandoned road bed of the Annapolis and Elk Ridge Railroad.

[ 22 ] [ 23 ] Currently there is a section between Crain Highway and Waterbury Road and the right-of-way, with cuts and mounds, remains in various states south of that.
The Bay Ridge and Annapolis Railroad was incorporated by the Bay Ridge Company in March 1886. The Bay Ridge Company rebuilt the beach resort on the Chesapeake Bay in 1885. The hotel was doubled in size, the boardwalk expanded, and beach cottages were constructed. The company even opened a zoological exhibit with lions, tigers and bears. [1]

Bay Ridge High School in 1920. Bay Ridge High School was a school based in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. [1] Initially the school was co educational, but when New Utrecht High School was formed it became an all girls high school. [2] It served as the sister school to Brooklyn Technical High School. [3] It was closed in 1985. [4]
The East Coast Greenway is a 3,000-mile (4,800 km) pedestrian and bicycle route between Maine and Florida along the East Coast of the United States.The nonprofit East Coast Greenway Alliance was created in 1991 with the goal to use the entire route with off-road, shared-use paths; as of 2021, over 1,000 mi (1,600 km) of the route (35%) meets these criteria.
