Browning Arms Company (originally John Moses and Matthew Sandefur Browning Company) is an American marketer of firearms and fishing gear. The company was founded in Ogden, Utah , in 1878 by brothers John Moses Browning (1855–1926) and Matthew Sandefur Browning (1859–1923).
The school was founded in 1888 by John A. Browning to instruct the Rockefeller brothers, including Percy and John D. Rockefeller. [1] [2] Arthur Jones succeeded Browning as headmaster, in 1920, moved the school from West 55th Street to its present location on East 62nd Street, and expanded extracurricular activities.
Browning was rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com and was ranked as the third-best pro-style recruit in his class. [4] He committed to the University of Washington to play college football. [5] Browning studied at the university's Foster School of Business, as a direct admit into their Business Administration program his freshman year.
Ken Kay was superintendent of Browning Distance Learning Academy, a provider of homeschooling curriculum. [8] Its materials were used by Mentor School in Costa Rica. [20] As of 2022 no other school or homeschooling group has used Browning Distance Learning Academy, and it's assumed the company went bankrupt after Mentor's closure.
