Take the Heat off Me is the debut album by Euro-Caribbean group Boney M. The album became a major seller in Europe, specifically in the Nordic countries (number 1 in Sweden and Finland, number 2 in Norway), but in the U.S. the album just missed the album chart.

Boney M.'s first album, Take the Heat off Me, was released in 1976. It contained tracks that Marcia Barrett had already recorded with Farian, including the title track and "Lovin' or Leavin ' ", both of which were previously recorded in German by another Farian act, Gilla .
Farian also provided the male voice parts on the record. The song was included on their debut album Take the Heat off Me. It was a 1976 hit and a staple of disco music and became Boney M.'s first hit in the United Kingdom. The second Boney M. single, it was released in 1976 and made no major impact at first.
"Baby Do You Wanna Bump" is a song recorded by German record producer Frank Farian under the name Boney M., and included on the group's 1976 debut album Take the Heat off Me. Released as the first Boney M. single, it became a minor hit in the Netherlands [ 2 ] and Belgium, prompting Farian to create a proper group to promote his studio project.
The Complete Collection was the first Boney M. CD collection to include most of the original singles issued by the band between the years 1976 and 1986 in chronological running order, from the aforementioned "Daddy Cool" to final release "Bang Bang Lulu".
Just a few months later, the album Liz Mitchell Sings the Hits of Boney M., recorded in Prague, backed by a Czech symphony orchestra, was released. A song recorded in 2006, called "A Moment Of Love", can be found on the compilation album, The Magic of Boney M.. She is still touring, billed as Boney M. featuring Liz Mitchell.
Her version was included on the album Zieh mich aus which was released in June 1976. Due to shortage of material when Boney M. performed their first live gigs in 1976, having only one album with eight songs, Marcia Barrett also performed "Belfast" which had been a popular live track for her.
