The Gypsy Queens is a French pop band formed in Nice by Didier Casnati. They play a large repertoire of multi-lingual covers, with a rich vocal style likened to bands such as The Beach Boys or The Beatles .
Gypsy was an American progressive rock band from Minnesota, formed as The Underbeats (1962–1968). [1] [2] Gypsy was the house band at the Whisky a Go Go, West Hollywood, California from September 1969 to April 1971 and were known in 1970 for their US Billboard Hot 100 single "Gypsy Queen Part 1", which peaked at #62.
The band recorded their debut album The Gypsy Queens, produced by Larry Klein in 2012, and their second album Lost in the music in 2014. The band is known for their all stars private parties performances, [4] and Casnati create a new genre of performing acoustically at dinners.
In 2011, the song was released on the famous party band The Gypsy Queens eponymous album The Gypsy Queens. The song became a successful cover for the band when they released a video clip of the song (produced by Didier Casnati) featuring Italian actress Caterina Murino, and reached several million views on YouTube in only a couple of weeks.
