If you want to use the email app that comes with your iOS device, just add your AOL Mail account through your device's settings. Though you should be able to set up the account automatically, you may need to set up the account manually with the POP or IMAP settings.

Click the Account Settings icon. Click Manage Profiles. Click the Email Accounts button. Look for the email account you want to update and double-click on it. Remove and re-enter your AOL Mail password. (Note: If you use an app password for Outlook, you may need to create a new app password. See the info below.) Check the status.
Click on Settings in the upper right corner. Select More Settings. Click Viewing email. Click Unified Inbox at the bottom. You may need to sign out of the app and then back in to reset the app settings. Tap on the Profile icon in the upper left. Tap on Manage Accounts. Click the slider to turn off the account.
