The Paradise town council is made up of a mayor, deputy mayor, and five councillors. The current mayor of the town is Dan Bobbett, a former Paradise town councillor. Paradise is part of three provincial electoral districts; Conception Bay East – Bell Island, represented by Fred Hutton, and Topsail-Paradise, which is represented by Paul Dinn.

It heads northwest through rural wooded areas to enter the town limits, and begins passing through neighbourhoods to have an interchange with Route 2 (Peacekeepers Way). The highway now passes by several parks and businesses before coming to an end near the coastline at an intersection with Route 60 (Conception Bay Highway).
Route 50 begins in the town of Paradise at an intersection with Route 60 (Topsail Road). It heads north as St. Thomas Line through neighbourhoods to cross into Portugal Cove-St. Philips, where it passes through the St. Philips portion of town to have an intersection with Route 41 (Tuckers Hill Road), which leads to the Bell Island Ferry, and becomes Thorburn Road.
Route 516, also known as Cartwright Highway, is a 94-kilometre-long (58 mi) north–south highway in southeastern Labrador in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It connects the town of Cartwright , along with the community of Paradise River , with the Trans-Labrador Highway ( Route 510 ) at Cartwright Junction .

Topsail–Paradise is a provincial electoral district in Newfoundland and Labrador. As of 2011 there are 14,830 people living in the district. [1] Topsail–Paradise includes part of the town of Paradise and the part of the town of Conception Bay South. The district was created following the 2015 electoral districts boundaries review.
Route 1 is a highway in the Canada province of Newfoundland and Labrador, and is the easternmost stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway. Route 1 is the primary east–west road on the island of Newfoundland. [1] The eastern terminus of Route 1 is St. John's.
