Winnie-the-Pooh (also known as Edward Bear, Pooh Bear or simply Pooh) is a fictional anthropomorphic teddy bear created by English author A. A. Milne and English illustrator E. H. Shepard. Winnie-the-Pooh first appeared by name in a children's story commissioned by London's Evening News for Christmas Eve 1925.
He has a stick house therein called The House at Pooh Corner. Pooh and Piglet built it for him after accidentally mistaking the original house that Eeyore built for a pile of sticks. On Eeyore's birthday, he is given an empty honey jar from Pooh for keeping things in, a popped red balloon from Piglet to keep in the pot, and a note from Owl.
Pooh then visits his friend, Owl, who reads the honey pot's note and erroneously concludes that Christopher Robin has gone to a distant cave called "Skull", where a creature called the "Skullasaurus" supposedly resides, before sending Pooh and his other friends, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit and Eeyore on a journey to travel to Skull and rescue ...
The company had also previously produced the educational Disney short Winnie the Pooh Discovers the Seasons in 1981.
