Westland Mall is a demolished 860,000-square-foot (80,000 m 2) shopping center located at the intersection of U.S. Route 40 and Interstate 270 on the west side of Columbus, Ohio. In November 2012, the majority of the mall closed, and the last anchor closed in 2017.
The northern block includes the Great Southern Hotel and Theatre and the Schlee-Kemmler Building, both already individually listed in the Columbus and National Registers. The southern block includes nine commercial buildings from the late 19th century, mostly 2-3 stories in height, featuring a variety of architectural details.

The Great Southern Hotel & Theatre is an historic hotel and theater building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building currently operates as the Westin Great Southern Columbus and the Southern Theatre. It opened on September 21, 1896 and is the oldest surviving theater in Central Ohio and one of the oldest in the state of Ohio.
The chain encourages its fans in Columbus to come watch biscuits being made from scratch as it prepares to open a new location. A surprise for the first 50 customers is planned.
