The room is dim so that's why probably why her pupils are dilated. I don't see any red flags that make me think anything is abnormal.
Mar 26, 2017. Messages. 17,301. Purraise. 45,026. My cat has feline herpes and he gets black/brown discharge in the corners of his eyes, but I've never seen it all the way around the eyes like that. My cat takes Lysine for his eye herpes. If it's bacterial, then he'll probably need antibiotics. Oct 15, 2017.
Copper-colored eyes represent the darkest hue found in cats. It's an unusual blend of light brown with shades of red and orange, occasionally speckled with yellow, green, or more orange. The color is rare, standing out as distinct from orange yet equally unique. It's all attributed to the melanin content.
You dont need to be no siamese nor point for this. Just look on the Oyes Lazure breed, whom surely were created on the base of some natural occuring blue eyed cats. Oyes Lazure means literally blue eyes. So he is black and white with blue eyes, or tuxedo with blue eyes. The body is a little lighter than head and tail.
The kitten is now 2 months old so his eyes finally became the real colour, it turns to be very dark and I wonder if it is normal for a kitten to have dark eyes because I have never seen a kitten with dark eyes. Usually kittens have blue, green or yellow eyes and the colours are bright, but look at my kitten, the colour it's very dark.
Purraise. 7. Location. CT. Most cats who develope any sort of infection as a kitten become carriers and when stressed, they shed and sometimes develope symptoms. The discharge will come and go, just make sure there aren't any other signs that will need antibiotics.
There was a breed called Ojos Azules, where a mutation in a feral cat, not related to what causes blue eyes in siamese cats and other cats, caused darker coated and blk cats to have bright blue eyes. But the mutation also caused terrible problems when breeding two blue eyed cats and breeding was stopped.
The black color of a cat's hair is due to a pigment called eumelanin, which is produced in the hair follicle. Black cats produce a coat that's rich in eumelanin, which gives their fur a deep, dark color. Eumelanin is also responsible for the color of human hair, skin, and eyes, as well as the feathers of birds and the fur of other animals. 2.
Nov 1, 2015. Messages. 257. Purraise. 104. I remember seeing a white Persian at the shelter have dark discharge from her eyes. She had to have them cleaned daily as this was a chronic problem for her. One of my kitties had a bit of dark discharge when he had a cold once. Did not drain a ton, but I do remember him having that a bit.
Sep 1, 2005. Messages. 296. Purraise. 1. Location. California, USA. So, Rowan has had vet checkups, and he's got a clean bill of health, but I recently noticed that his third eyelids have this black/very dark red stripe on them, right on the edge (well, the edge that you can still see when their eyes are open. The rest seems to be white).
