DeSoto State Park is a public recreation area located on Lookout Mountain, eight miles (13 km) northeast of Fort Payne, Alabama. [2] The state park covers 3,502 acres (1,417 ha) of forest, rivers, waterfalls, and mountain terrain.
The park offers guests a variety of accommodations options including Mountain Chalets, Log and Rustic Cabins and comfortable Lodge Rooms. Campers can choose from 94 full-hookup tent & RV sites as well as two back-country campsites with shelters.
