Airports don't test for drugs. Law enforcement may be able to compel a test on you, but in democratic countries this is not done "at random". Only if there's a suspicion that you're doing something you're not allowed to do when under the influence (driving, for example).

As always with medication you can take or leave, I would advice to leave behind. If you do not have pills on you, there is no chance on a problem with confusion and hard to explain because of language problems.

If they get a positive test, they may ask you more questions or search your luggage by hand. After all, it is not necessarily illegal to handle explosive materials (outside the airport!), and security would have no reason to prevent somebody from flying solely because they had been handling explosives the day before.
In my experience some airlines allow you to enter the KTN once and for all in their online FF system, others don't (I won't mention names) and if so you should give the number at checkin, it will show up on our boarding pass and you can go thorough a shorter security line (the TSApre line or equivalent).
TL;DR: Take your medication with the original box with the pills inside the sealed blister pack with doctors prescription.
