The Nashoba Valley is an area in North Central Massachusetts that encompasses northwestern Middlesex and northeastern Worcester Counties, Massachusetts, located around the interchange of Interstate 495 and Massachusetts Route 2. At one point, Littleton, Massachusetts, was known as the Praying Indian town of Nashoba.
Oak Bluffs is a town located on the island of Martha's Vineyard in Dukes County, Massachusetts, United States.The population was 5,341 at the 2020 United States Census.It is one of the island's principal points of arrival for summer tourists, and is noted for its "gingerbread cottages" and other well-preserved mid- to late-nineteenth-century buildings.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 7.0 square miles (18 km 2), of which 7.0 square miles (18 km 2) is land and 0.14% is water. Statistically, the town is the 327th of 351 communities in the Commonwealth by land area, and is the second smallest (above only Hull ) in Plymouth County.
By population, Shelburne ranked eighth out of the 26 towns in Franklin County, and 290th out of the 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts. The population density was 88.5 inhabitants per square mile (34.2/km 2), which ranked tenth in the county and 291st in the Commonwealth.
The major highways through the area are Interstate 195 (from Providence to Wareham, Massachusetts) and U.S. Route 6, which is the older route connecting Providence to Cape Cod. Highway access to Boston is provided by Route 24 and Route 79 , both of which end in Fall River, and Route 140 which connects New Bedford to Route 24 in Taunton .
