Welcome to Microsoft Community. Windows Media Player 12 is currently only available on Windows 10, Windows 11 comes pre-installed with its own Media Player, called Windows Media Player (WMP). Therefore, it is not possible to install Media Player 12 on Windows 11. Do you need to play some formats of video or other requirements?
Windows Media Player 12 comes with Windows 10. Type Media Player in Start Search to find and open it. If not there is may be hidden at Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > Programs & Features > Turn WIndows Features On or Off > expand Media section, check box for WMP, OK, restart PC again. To get the Windows Media Player Legacy on Windows 11, Open Settings > Apps > Optional Features > "View features" on Add an optional feature > Type Windows Media o the search bar > Select "Windows Media Player Legacy' > Next > Install.
If you cannot find it after typing it into Search box, then go to Settings > Apps > Programs & Features, choose Turn Windows Features On and Off, expand Media Features, tick the box for Windows Media Player, Save and restart PC.
