Tulane’s original on-campus football stadium was Tulane Stadium, informally known as the “Sugar Bowl,” which held more than 80,000 fans and served the school from 1925- 1974. It also served as the site for the Sugar Bowl postseason bowl game. It was torn down in 1975 and replaced by student housing.

Construction of the 30,000 seat stadium, built near the site of Tulane Stadium, began in January 2013. The $75 million stadium features a single tier grandstand and has 4,500 club seats and two party decks. It is named after Richard Yulman, who donated $15 million towards construction.
