I have a Kohler Elate kitchen faucet, model number 13963, it has a lever/button to switch between "shower" spray and a normal aerated flow. The aerator is part number1061023. I need to remove the aerator in the center so that I can install an adapter to use my Python aquarium water change system.
I have no clue what kind of faucet it is, but its in the bathroom and looks similar to the Fairfax. It has an aerator inside and it needs to be cleaned, but its not like my others. It doesnt seem to have a 'thing' that threads off or it revealing the aerator. The aerator is inside and there looks like a ring on the outside, but it does not turn.
Hello HJ, I have a 6-7 year old Kohler faucet very similar to the design of the first person with the stiff hot water handle, just a little more ornate design. The hot water handle is stiff at all times. I'm embarrassed to ask, but how do I take the handle apart to inspect and lubricate it? I don't see any allen screws or other ways to loosen it.
After a recent bathroom remodel, our new Kohler Shower Faucet seems to have cold / hot reversed. When turning faucet on, the water is immediately hot, then gets cold once you turn further clockwise. Not a big deal, but we are selling the house and the buyers wanted that fixed. I thought I could flip the cartridge / mixer valve 180 degrees to ...
We redid our master bath last year. There is a musty smell in the water coming out of a new Kohler faucet for the first few seconds it is on. It then goes away. We've lived in the house for 7 years - didn't have the problem before the remodel - and we don't have the issue from the second faucet (same model, bought at same time) in the bathroom.
Our relatively new (14 months)Kohler Forte kitchen faucet sprayer hose started leaking and we worked with Kohler to obtain a replacement. Unfortunately I cannot seem to remove the old hose from the brass coupler under the sink and the instruction that came with the hose are for the coupler type shown on the left of the picture below and mine is ...
I have a Kohler K690 kitchen faucet. Installed by prior homeowner, I believe 2003. Noticed a slow leak at base of the handle, so called Kohler for a new cartridge. After installing the new cartridge, I still had a drip. Called Kohler which said maybe new cartridge was faulty or improperly installed, so they sent me another new one, same problem.
The edges stuck to the connector when I tried to remove it. So I used a silicone washer (to which I cut a larger hole out), and now I am able to tighten the connector and have it align just enough to get the hose to clear the sink. But, now my faucet makes a whistling sound when the water is turned on. Guess I can't have it all!
I have an old Kohler faucet in my bathroom, probably 1960s vintage, and I am unable to remove the nuts from the underside to get the faucet off. I have hit it with seafoam green a few times, as well as whacked it with a mallet, they wont budge. I can get the water lines off. Worried that I will need to replace the entire sink.
Local hardware stores don’t seem to have many Kohler replacement stems in stock at the moment, so I’m trying to gather as much information before resorting to shutting off the supply to take the stems out and measure them. I’m seeing similar vintage Kohler faucets online, but none with the smooth face on the handles.
