State Highway 249 (SH 249), also known depending on its location as West Mount Houston Road, the Tomball Parkway, Tomball Tollway, MCTRA 249 Tollway, or the Aggie Expressway, is a 49.443-mile (79.571 km) generally north–south highway in Southeast Texas. The southern terminus is in North Houston at Interstate 45 (I-45).

The section from FM 2430 (now West Montgomery Road) to US 75 was transferred to FM 2430 on December 10, 1959, while FM 149 was rerouted north over the former route of FM 2430. A spur connection to FM 1488 was added on November 1, 1968 which replaced the old route of FM 149 because one section of the old route was transferred to FM 1488.
Lone Star College–Tomball (formerly Tomball College or TC) is one of six colleges in the Lone Star College System (LSCS) in Texas, USA.. Dedicated and opened in 1988, the college sits on a 143 acres (0.58 km 2) [2] (.5787 km 2) on SH 249 north of FM 2920 and just south of Spring Creek, which acts as the border between Harris County and Montgomery County.
In early 2010, Hooks Airport received a notable resident when the B-17G Flying Fortress 'Texas Raiders' was permanently moved from William P. Hobby Airport to a spacious hangar in the Tomball Jet Center as a cost-saving measure. 'Texas Raiders' used Hooks Airport as her base of operations for the 2010 air show season and several years afterward.
