The West Florida Argonauts (or UWF Argonauts) are the athletic teams that represent the University of West Florida, located in Pensacola, Florida, in intercollegiate sports at the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the Gulf South Conference (GSC) since the 1994–95 academic year.
It is primarily used for baseball, is the home field for the University of West Florida baseball team and was home to the Pensacola Pelicans. It opened in 1981, with a seating capacity of about 1,000 people. Over the years, that capacity has more than tripled. [1] In May 2003, the stadium underwent a massive renovation.
