20 November 2025 () National Day ( Arabic : اليوم الوطني العماني, alyawm alwataniu aleumaniu) is an official holiday in the Sultanate of Oman and the main one in the country. The holiday celebrates the date of the founding of the Al Bu Said dynasty , which has ruled Oman since 1744.
National Day - November 18th: Celebrates the Sultanate's independence and the birthday of Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said, who ruled Oman for many years until his death in 2020. Renaissance Day - July 23rd: Marks the beginning of the Sultanate's modernization under the leadership of Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said in 1970.
