It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and is part of the 30th Judicial District Court of Louisiana. The stuccoed masonry courthouse is Classical Revival in style.

Hicks is an unincorporated community in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, United States. [1] A post office called Hicks was established in 1887 and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1992. [2] Hicks High School enrolls nearly four hundred pupils. [3] The Hicks Pentecostal Church Cemetery located in the community.
