Center the screen on your location by double-clicking on it, then use the View in Google Maps button at the top (Google Earth 4.1 and newer). This will open Google Maps within Google Earth. For instance, the map marker for Marojejy National Park, Madagascar (labeled Marojejy Nature Reserve) has some photos and basic metadata, but I had to manually attain the coordinates at GeoLocator, and I couldn't find any way to just grab those coordinates from Google maps. If there's a way to sync up, please let me know.
