Ted Andrews (July 15, 1952 – October 24, 2009) [1] was an American writer, teacher of esoteric practices, and a clairvoyant. His book on animals as spirit guides and symbols, Animal Speak , sold almost 500,000 copies from 1993 to 2009; the influential Llewellyn -published book is widely cited by others.
Llewellyn Worldwide (formerly Llewellyn Publications) is a New Age publisher based in Woodbury, Minnesota.Llewellyn's mission is to "serve the trade and consumers worldwide with options and tools for exploring new worlds of mind & spirit, thereby aiding in the quests of expanded human potential, spiritual consciousness, and planetary awareness."
The men established "a framework of social organization to give them strength and order" [2] in which each totem represents a core branch of knowledge and responsibility essential to society. Today, seven general totems compose this framework. The crane and the loon are the leadership, responsible for over-seeing and leading the people.
In 1938 Neel married the well-liked roustabout and metal smith, Ted Neel. They moved to Vancouver, and together had seven children. Neel was a stay at home mom, but still completed a few carvings for friends. Then things changed dramatically after Ted suffered a severe stroke. They needed money and Ted no longer could fully support the family.
