Blue School was a progressive independent school located in New York City's Lower Manhattan. The school offered early-childhood classes for children as young as two years old, as well as kindergarten and elementary school classes that extend through sixth grade as of the 2015–16 school year.
The Blue School was the first pilot for an innovative approach to school councils based on self-selection called Learning to Lead [10] [11] The School Community Council received praise in the School's 2007 Ofsted report.
