Rhondda Cynon Taf (Welsh pronunciation: [ˈr̥ɔnða ˈkənɔn ˈtaːv]; RCT; also spelt as Rhondda Cynon Taff) is a county borough in the south-east of Wales. It consists of five valleys: the Rhondda Fawr, Rhondda Fach, Cynon, Taff ( Welsh : Taf ) and Ely valleys, plus several towns and villages away from the valleys.

Rhondda Cynon Taf 51°38′16″N 3°25′49″W / 51.637676°N 3.430264°W / 51.637676; -3. Pontygwaith ( Welsh language : "Bridge of work" or "Bridge of the Ironworks") is a small village located in the Rhondda Fach valley in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf , Wales, in the community of Tylorstown .
A Ferndale electoral ward was coterminous with the borders of the Ferndale community and elected two county councillors to Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council. Since 1995, representation was mainly by the Labour Party, but the ward also had a Plaid Cymru councillor from 1999 to 2004 and an Independent councillor from 2012 to 2017. [4]
Rhondda Cynon Taf is a county borough in South Wales. It is located to the north-west of Cardiff and covers an area of 424 km 2 (164 sq mi). [1] In 2021 the population was approximately 237,500. [2] The Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales was established in 2002 and given statutory status in 2022.
