As per S. Somanath, docking is a crucial component of Chandrayaan-4 and that ISRO intended SPADEX as a forerunner. Satellites for the SPADEX mission are being further tested as of October 2024. All the testing process will be finished by November 2024. Complete simulation demonstration will be performed on it.

The X-ray Polarimeter Satellite (XPoSat) is an Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)-manufactured space observatory to study polarisation of cosmic X-rays. It was launched on 1 January 2024 on a PSLV rocket, [ 8 ] and it has an expected operational lifespan of at least five years.
