Tiger 131 is a German Tiger I heavy tank captured by the British Army in Tunisia during World War II. Preserved at The Tank Museum in Bovington in Dorset , England, it is currently the only operational Tiger I in the world.
On 21 April 1943, a Tiger I of the 504th German heavy tank battalion, with turret number 131, was captured on a hill called Djebel Djaffa in Tunisia. A 6-pounder solid shot from a Churchill tank of the British 48th Royal Tank Regiment hit the Tiger's gun barrel and ricocheted into its turret ring, jamming its traverse and wounding the commander.
It was part of the 21st Army Tank Brigade equipped with Churchill tanks. During preliminary engagements before the Battle of Longstop Hill in Tunisia , 1943 it disabled a German Tiger I tank; it was sent back to UK and is currently the only operating Tiger tank in the world, Tiger 131 .

This utilised a highly accurate, partially constructed Tiger 1 that was originally constructed for the movie Fury, which in itself was an accurate replica of Tiger 131. The reconstruction utilised that upper portion of the Tiger, and also referenced original Tiger parts the museum had purchased to make the whole tank.
