Kericho County is one of the 47 counties in Kenya.The county seats between longitude 35°02' and 35°40' East and between the equator and latitude 0°23' South with an altitude of about 2002m above sea level.

Kericho was a district in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. Its capital was Kericho. It had a population of 468,493 (1999 census) and an area of 2,111 km 2. [1] Kericho District traces its origins back to when the region was part of the Protectorate of Uganda. It was until 1902 when Lumbwa District transferred to the East Africa Protectorate.
