The Battle of the Blue is an annual college football rivalry game between the University of Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens and Villanova University Wildcats.The first game was played between the two teams in 1895 and was played annually from 1964 to 1980, when Villanova dropped football.
The 2024 Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens football team represented the University of Delaware as a member of the Coastal Athletic Association Football Conference (CAA) during the 2024 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by third-year head coach Ryan Carty and played their home games at Delaware Stadium in Newark, Delaware.

This is a list of seasons completed by the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens football team of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Since the team's creation in 1889, the Fightin' Blue Hens have participated in more than 1,100 officially sanctioned games.
The 2006–07 Delaware team finished 26–5 overall and 16–2 in the CAA (3rd place) and earned a bid to the 2007 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament where they lost to the Michigan State Spartans coached by Joanne P. McCallie, who went on to coach at Duke from 2007-2020, by a score of 69–58.
