Shabnam Masood (also Kazemi) is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera EastEnders, played by Zahra Ahmadi and Rakhee Thakrar. Shabnam's first appearance was on 17 July 2007. Ahmadi made her final appearance as Shabnam on 24 October 2008. [1] Shabnam returned to the show on 13 January 2014, after Thakrar assumed the role on 1 December 2013.

A new family were introduced in this year, with Zainab Masood (), Masood Ahmed (Nitin Ganatra), Shabnam Masood (Zahra Ahmadi/Rakhee Thakrar) and Tamwar Masood (Himesh Patel) creating the Masood clan.
Masood was the fourth character in the Masood family to make an appearance on-screen, joining his wife Zainab and daughter Shabnam (Zahra Ahmadi) who appeared in July 2007, and his son Tamwar (Himesh Patel) who appeared in October 2007. They are later joined in 2009 by their eldest son Syed (Marc Elliott).
