Culzean Castle appeared on the programme The Little Couple from TLC, where the family visited the castle on the Series 9 pilot episode in 2016. It was the location for two episodes of BBC One ’s Antiques Roadshow filmed in 2020 and transmitted in February and April 2021.
Culzean Castle. He succeeded to the titles of 10th Earl of Cassilis, 12th Lord Kennedy and 5th Baronet Kennedy on 30 November 1775 on the death of his elder brother Thomas, the 9th Earl, who had died without male issue. He held the office of Scottish representative peer from 1776 to 1790.

Archibald was born in 1847 at Culzean Castle, [1] the eldest of three sons born to Julia (née Jephson), Marchioness of Ailsa, and Archibald Kennedy, 2nd Marquess of Ailsa. [2] Among his siblings was Maj. Lord Alexander Kennedy, Lord John Kennedy, Lady Julia Alice Kennedy, [3] Lady Evelyn Anne Kennedy, and Lady Constance Eleanor Kennedy.

Bargany's younger brother, Thomas Kennedy of Drummurchie, murdered Thomas Kennedy at Saint Leonard's Chapel near Ayr on 11 May 1602. The body was taken to Greenan Castle and later buried at Maybole. Culzean's son-in-law, James Mure of Auchindrayne, was executed for the murder. [5]
