Lebanon (/ ˈ l ɛ b ən ə n / LEB-ən-ən) is the county seat of Wilson County, Tennessee, United States. [6] The population was 38,431 at the 2020 census. The academy was founded in 1902 as Castle Heights School outside of Lebanon, Tennessee. [1] [2] [3] Its founders were David Mitchell, president of Cumberland University; Isaac W. P. Buchanan, a mathematics teacher at the recently defunct Cumberland Preparatory School; Amzi W.
