Gateshead Football Club is a professional association football club based in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England. The club competes in the National League , the fifth level of the English football league system , as of the 2024–25 season.
Gateshead were thrown out of the play-offs with no team replacing them last season, although they did go on to win the FA Trophy at Wembley for the first time in the club's history.

Callum Tyler Whelan (born 24 September 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for National League club Gateshead.. A graduate of the academy at Manchester United, he had a loan spell at Port Vale in the 2018–19 season, but did not feature in a matchday squad.
