Daniel James "Danny" Collins (born 7 October 1970) is an Australian sprint canoeist who competed from the early 1990s to the mid-2000s (decade). Competing in four Summer Olympics, he won two medals in the K-2 500 m event with a silver in 2000 and a bronze in 1996, with canoeing partner Andrew Trim.
Sprint kayak is a type of canoe sprint held on calm water. The paddler is seated, facing forward, and uses a double-bladed paddle pulling the blade through the water on alternate sides to propel the boat forward. The K-2 event is raced in two-person kayaks. Competition consists of three rounds: the heats, the semifinals, and the final. All boats compete in the heats.
