Camarines Sur's 1st congressional district is one of the five congressional districts of the Philippines in the province of Camarines Sur. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 1919. [3] The district consists of the northern Camarines Sur municipalities of Cabusao, Del Gallego, Lupi, Ragay and Sipocot.
The passage of Republic Act 9716 [1] created an additional district out of towns from the first and second districts, which elected its first representative starting in the 2010 elections. As a result, the numerical designations of the province's districts were also changed in order to accommodate the new district.
