Kiseru begins seeing clearly again and reveals his mission. Believing the clues the ANBU received from a previous agent, who went missing, Kiseru realizes the whole ordeal is a genjutsu, so he stabs Boruto and uses healing ninjutsu, to wake him up from it. Boruto awakens in a lab, with everyone still alive, and inside pods.
Mozuku asks Kawaki to take the medicine back to his nation before dying. Shikadai and Boruto hold off more pursuers, allowing Kawaki to deliver the medicine to Aosa. Kawaki blames himself for Mozuku's death, surmising that he'd still be alive had he followed Shikadai's orders. Naruto and Shikamaru look into ways to help the Land of Calm Seas.
After waking up Boruto sees his eye in a mirror and believes that he has awakened the Byakugan.
