Knuckle Puck is an American rock band, formed in 2010 in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. The band's name comes from the "knucklepuck" shot in ice hockey, which was popularized by the 1994 film D2: The Mighty Ducks. The group has released several EPs, one of which, While I Stay Secluded (2014), peaked at number 5 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.

The Ponys were an American indie rock/garage rock band from Chicago, Illinois, United States, formed by singer/guitarist Jered Gummere, in early 2001. Gummere was concurrently in the punk band, Guilty Pleasures, at the time of The Ponys’ formation. He eventually left to devote himself entirely to The Ponys.

Braid is an American emo band from Champaign, Illinois, formed in 1993.. Following several early line-up changes, the band eventually settled on Bob Nanna on guitar and vocals, Todd Bell on bass, Chris Broach on guitar and vocals, and Roy Ewing on drums until he was replaced in 1997 by new drummer Damon Atkinson.
Illinois Speed Press was an American rock band formed – originally, in 1965, as The Rovin' Kind – in Chicago, later relocating to California. The band was formed by Paul Cotton – later of Poco – and Kal David. According to Allmusic, their sound "combined elements of R&B and country music in a powerful double-lead-guitar attack."
