Alongside being used as the album's title, the phrase "mercury falling" appears as the first and last lyrics heard on the album. "I Hung My Head" is a song written by the singer-songwriter Sting and released on the 1996 album Mercury Falling. It reflects Sting's childhood fondness for TV Westerns, as well as his avowed interest in country music, but also tackles deeper and more philosophical themes of life, death, justice and redemption.
It was released as a single on 17 October 1994 and is one of two new tracks included on his first greatest hits album, Fields of Gold: The Best of Sting 1984–1994 (1994), alongside "This Cowboy Song". The song became Sting's only solo top 10 hit in his native UK and reached the top 40 in five other countries.
Sacred Love is the seventh studio album by the English musician Sting.The album was released on 29 September 2003. The album featured smoother, R&B-style beats and experiments collaborating with hip-hop artist Mary J. Blige and sitar player Anoushka Shankar.

A promotional disc was made where Sting discusses some of the songs on the album. There was also an unofficial live album produced during the Ten Summoner's Tales era, entitled Meadowlands of Gold , which contained 13 tracks performed at the Meadowlands Arena on February 26, 1994, in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
