Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library (CHPL) is a public library system in the United States. In addition to its main library location in downtown Cincinnati , Ohio, CHPL operates 40 regional and branch locations throughout Hamilton County .
The library holds over 600,000 printed books and thousands of manuscript codices and leaves. The library also offers periodicals, microfilm reels, and sound recordings. [12] The majority of the library's print collection is available in public stacks, and many of the old and rare books are available for use upon request.
