Which luxury suv is the cheapest to maintain? Infiniti or Acura bc the parts are the same as Honda and Nissan. I got my Mercedes oil changed and brakes adjusted and it was $670! 1.2K subscribers in the SUV community.
Toyota engineers also learned a lot though, so I'm not trying to discredit the bmw engineers. Not a luxury SUV or car by any stretch of the imagination, but my wife's rebuilt, 2005 Toyota Corolla is still going strong at 215,0000KM. I'm curious what the Toyota engineers learned. Seems like Toyota bests BMW at everything.
Across the board. Cheapest: Lexus. Most Expensive: Land Rover. 2. eedikiy. OP • 9 yr. ago. So pretty much, a 30k lexus will be cheaper than, say, a 30k benz in the long run due to cheaper maintenance.
A lot of the non turbo Mercedes GLK and ML/GLE stuff with the 6 cylinders are pretty easy. But they still require service that’s more expensive. I would say Lincoln is another really good one. Lexus and Acura are the obvious ones. Infiniti but not with the CVT.
Reliable is good ofc. These are prices for some of the cars I'm considering with the configurations I would want (prefer top trim with the tech): Audi A5 Sportback S line 45 TFSI Prestige - $59,995. BMW 430i Gran Coupe - $55,925. Lexus ES 300h Ultra Luxury - $56,620. Acura TLX Type S Perf.
Really depends what you are looking for. Luxury SUVs are gonna have lower road noise relatively compared to regular brands but vehicles like the Lexus NX/BMW X1 are smaller than something like a forester. You really pay for the extra driving dynamics and refinement but again you lose like interior room.
RandallC1212. •. The story notes while Tesla maintenance costs are low, their reliability rankings are also low. I guarantee almost every single Tesla owner has had to take their car to a Service Center at least 1-2 times for a nagging fit and finish repair in the first 3 years of ownership.
It should probably just be written as “Tesla is the cheapest car brand to maintain.” It’s lower as a percentage than even the cheapest Toyota. It’s so odd they have a separate “Popular Car Models” graphic which such low volume cars as the Land Cruiser and Supra on the top of the list.
The absolute cheapest I see brake pads, hardware, and rotors for something like a 1985 745 is about $175 after shipping. Those brakes are traaaaaaaaaash. They're Dynamic Frictions which LITERALLY have more than 30% worse stopping performance when compared to *1980's OE pads.*.
The Acura RDX consistently tops lists of affordable luxury vehicles to insure. This compact SUV has a starting MSRP around $39,000, making it one of the more reasonably priced luxury models. Key factors leading to lower premiums : Abundant standard safety features (collision avoidance, road departure mitigation, etc.)
