    Of oil which is 10 calories. I also wanted to give 1/4 tsp. Of coconut oil which would be another 10 calories. Should o rotate these instead of giving them on the same day. The fish oil dose seems rather big for a dog of only 20 lbs so I don’t know if it would be good to add more oil. 1/2 tsp of oil seems like a lot for a 17 pound dog.

    I use Nordic Natural fish oil ,Krill oil from Mercola and once a month sardine in water. I give tinned sardines and salmon sometimes, but I also get a bottle of this every 3 months. It’s way more than 1 35lb dog can use in 3 months, so I use it myself also. I keep in the door of frig and give 1 pump daily, eezy peezy, as Aimee would say, lol..

    No fish oil or fish is listed but it does contain Omega 3 and Omega 6 oils. These generally come from fish. Another thing to try is to make your own food. I did this for one of our dogs and i recommend it only if you have a lot of patience. There are many good books on this subject.

    Salmon oil is high in fat. Fat triggers pancreatitis. I would trust the vet that told you to stop it. Katherine don’t know what form the salmon oil is in but I know my two dogs cannot tolerate fresh salmon broiled. I can give them a little when we have it for dinner for only one meal.

    Hi Jessica, my boy has IBD Skin Allergies, Food Intolerances & Pancreatitis….he needs a diet high in Omega 3…When I have feed any vet diets for his IBD & Skin problems that had fish, oil, soybean oil, coconut oil he got bad acid reflux, same with premium kibbles, if they had fish or salmon oil, he’d get acid reflux, he grinds his teeth when he gets his acid reflux…..
