Al Ahly also won the Cairo League, one point ahead of Tersana. In the Egypt Cup, Al Ahly Defeated Tersana in the final by a big score 6–0. [21]

Al Ahly SC is an Egyptian professional football club based in Cairo.The club first participated in an African competition in 1976. The first international cup they took part in was the African Cup of Champions Clubs where they lost 1–3 on aggregate to Algerian club MC Alger.
The Egypt Cup, which no British teams competed in, began in 1922, and won by Zamalek. [4] The first major football league in Egypt also began play in 1922; consisting of clubs from Cairo, it was called the Cairo League.
