Ingraham High School is a public high school, serving grades 9–12 in the Haller Lake neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, United States. Opened in 1959, the school is named after Edward Sturgis Ingraham , the first superintendent of the Seattle Public Schools .
Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Phelps graduated from Ingraham High School in north Seattle in 1972. He played a year at Washington State in Pullman under Bobo Brayton, [1] then headed to Mesa Community College, looking for an opportunity to play at Arizona State in Tempe.
He attended Ingraham High School, graduating in 1967 as class president. [1] He then attended the University of Washington , graduating with a Bachelor's degree in business in 1971. [ 3 ] He owned an electrical construction materials business in Bellevue, which he sold in 1988.
Samuel Gompers High School, 23rd Avenue and Lane Street, 1959–1966, became part of Seattle Central Community College. [5] Jr. high schools and middle schools previously included in district: Jane Addams Jr. High School. Built 1949 as part of the Shoreline School District. Annexed by Seattle 1954. Closed 1984; used since 1985 by Summit K-12.
At Southeastern High School during a fight between a 17-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, a security guard grabbed the 17-year-old around the waist during which a gun that the 17-year-old was carrying fell out of his jacket pocket.
