Bill Knapp's was an American family restaurant chain. It was founded by Clinton B. Knapp (March 13, 1907 – October 15, 1974), in Battle Creek, Michigan, in 1948. The chain operated in Michigan, Ohio, Florida, Illinois and Indiana, with more than 60 locations at its peak. [1]
Upper Valley Mall was a shopping mall located near Springfield, Ohio, northeast of Dayton. Built in 1971 by the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation of Youngstown, the mall at closing had no anchor stores. The Upper Valley Mall was located west of Springfield, off US 68, in German Township, Clark County.

Clark County is a county located in the west central portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 136,001. [2] Its county seat and largest city is Springfield. [3] The county was created on March 1, 1818, and was named for General George Rogers Clark, [4] a hero of the American Revolution.
The restaurant as it is known today dates to 1974 when Joan and Jack Peoples first opened it. But its history as a fish camp dates to 1925, according to a sign at the restaurant.
